Club JoyJoyPost

JoyPost · Legal

Terms of Service

Effective July 1, 2026

1. What JoyPost is

JoyPost is Club Joy's real-life postcard exchange. When you opt in, we match you with other opted-in members ("neighbors") so you can send and receive handwritten postcards. By creating a JoyPost profile or using the service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.

2. Who can join

JoyPost is a perk available exclusively to Club Joy members. You must be at least 18 years old to create a JoyPost profile, or use it with the supervision and consent of a parent or legal guardian. You agree to provide accurate information, including a real name and a mailing address where you can actually receive mail. If your Club Joy membership ends, your JoyPost participation may be paused or removed.

3. How the exchange works

  • When you request a Joy ID, we match you with a neighbor and share their name and mailing address with you for the sole purpose of sending them one postcard.
  • You become eligible to receive postcards after a card you sent has been registered as delivered.
  • You may hold one active Joy ID at a time. A new one becomes available once your card is registered as delivered, or after 10 days.

4. Using neighbors' addresses

A matched address is shared with you in trust. You agree to use it only to send the single postcard for that match. You may not store, publish, share, sell, or otherwise use a neighbor's address for any other purpose: no marketing, no additional unsolicited mail, no adding it to any list. Violating this is grounds for immediate removal from JoyPost.

5. Community standards

JoyPost exists to deliver a little joy. You agree that anything you send or upload (postcards, notes, photos) will be kind and appropriate for a general audience. You will not send or upload content that is harassing, hateful, threatening, sexually explicit, or commercial in nature (advertising, solicitation, chain letters). We may remove content or members that violate these standards at our discretion.

6. Photos and the gallery

If you upload a photo of a postcard you received, you give Club Joy a non-exclusive license to display it in the JoyPost gallery and in Club Joy communications about the exchange. Photos are reviewed before appearing publicly. You can ask us to take a photo down at any time by emailing us.

7. Your account

You're responsible for keeping your profile information current, especially your mailing address. You can pause your participation (vacation mode) or ask us to remove your profile entirely at any time by emailing hello@joinclubjoy.com.

8. What we're not responsible for

Postcards travel through the real postal system, and JoyPost members are real people we don't control. We can't guarantee that a card you send arrives, that you receive a card in any particular timeframe, or the content of what another member writes to you. JoyPost is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Club Joy is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

9. Ending or changing the service

We may suspend or remove any member who violates these Terms, and we may change or discontinue JoyPost itself. We may update these Terms from time to time; if we make material changes, we'll note the new effective date at the top of this page and let active members know by email. Continuing to use JoyPost after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
